How to Replace the Battery in a Ford C-Max

This guide shows how to replace the battery in the Ford C-Max Energi. First, open the boot and remove the finishing panel from the battery housing. Using a Torx T25 screwdriver, unscrew the four screws securing the outer panel of the battery housing. With the battery compartment access door open, unscrew the 10mm bolt and remove the plastic cover. Next, remove the front panel of the battery compartment by unscrewing the securing screws. Disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive terminal, and disconnect the sensor bolt before removing the terminal. Remove the battery retaining bracket. Detach the ventilation duct from the battery compartment to allow the battery to be removed. Install the new battery in reverse order.
