This guide shows how to remove the radio from the Ford Explorer Mk3. First, detach the finishing trim of the radio console using a trim removal tool. Next, disconnect the electrical connectors located at the back; if more working space is needed, you can remove the connectors at the bottom of the fascia and take out the piece. Unscrew the two 7 mm bolts located at the bottom of the radio and carefully slide out the audio unit, paying attention to the rear electrical connections; disconnect these elements and remove the radio.
