The fuel pump is immersed inside the tank: to be able to replace it, it is therefore necessary to remove the tank since it cannot be accessed from inside the passenger compartment as in most cars. Then disconnect the negative pole of the battery, empty the tank by aspirating the fuel, remove the frame around the filler cap and lift the car on a bridge to access the fixing brackets. Disconnect the socket located nearby and the pipe to the fixing pin of the bracket, also disconnect the filter and the delivery and return pipes. At this point apply a jack under the tank to support it and proceed with the disassembly of the brackets; once the tank has been removed, disconnect the pipe connected to the pump flange and then unscrew the fixing pins of the flange itself to be able to remove it and extract the pump from the tank. Finally insert the new pump and proceed in reverse for installation.
