Replacing the Car Alternator

The car alternator is a device that provides between 13 and 18 volts to power the electronic and starting systems. You can save money on the alternator replacement by doing it yourself. Start by disconnecting the battery cable and locating the alternator. Remove the belt from the alternator pulley and take off the nuts that hold it in place. Once the alternator is extracted, you can disconnect and remove the nut from each electrical connection. After removing the alternator from the engine bay, proceed with its replacement by inserting the new one purchased from the parts shop.
