How to Replace the Battery in the Ford S-MAX?

Start by opening the bonnet, then disconnect the sensor from the air filter housing and remove it by loosening the metal clip screw. Next, remove the plastic cover of the battery, unscrew the lower fixing bolt, and disconnect the negative terminal using the appropriate nut. At this point, you can extract the battery from the housing, disconnect the positive terminal, and install the replacement by following the reverse procedure.
