Instructions for Replacing Turbocharger Core Assembly

Damage to the turbocharger is generally associated with wear of the so-called core assembly, which is the group consisting of the shaft to which the two impellers are connected: the high RPM and constant contact with hot gases cause deterioration that, in addition to wearing the blades of the impellers, generates significant play on the shaft. It is therefore possible to purchase just the core assembly and proceed with its replacement: separate the two housings by removing the clamp and disconnecting the overpressure valve rod, unclip the circlip and extract the old core assembly; clean and descale all components of the turbocharger, insert the new core assembly and reassemble everything.
