How to reset the onboard computer of the 2007 Ford Focus TDCi?

To reset the onboard computer of the 2007 Ford Focus TDCi, get inside the car, close all the doors, and then insert and turn the key to position 1 to power on the instrument cluster without starting the engine. Now, press and hold the reset button located on the left stalk until the display shows the word TEST. Keep it pressed again until LED TEST appears and continue holding it down to scroll through all the numerous entries until LED TEST reappears. Now you can turn off the instrument cluster and turn it back on to check that all recorded faults in the onboard computer have been reset.
