How to Replace the Engine Control Unit in a Ford Fiesta?

To replace the engine control unit in the Ford Fiesta, open the bonnet to access the engine compartment: this will allow you to disconnect the battery and subsequently remove the cover from the top of the engine block. Once these components have been removed, access the rear of the battery, where the control unit is located, which can be freed from the connectors and fixing bolts. This will allow you to insert the new unit, reassembling all the removed components.
