Before proceeding with the disassembly of the starter motor, it is advisable to disconnect the battery in order to avoid any short circuits; in order to access the starter motor, which is located above the gearbox, it is necessary to remove the intercooler and turbine hoses as well as the engine air filter container; at this point disconnect the power cables and position the car on suitable car stands in order to access the car floor: to complete the disassembly of the starter motor, it is necessary to remove the muffler from the exhaust manifold and the turbine support bracket ; it is therefore possible to complete the disassembly of the motor by unscrewing the fixing pins and extracting it from its seat, always from the lower part of the engine compartment; then proceed backwards to install the new motor (you can opt for a regenerated one) by first applying the centering bushings.
