How to reset the Ford Escape 2 oil warning light

If the engine oil warning light comes on on the instrument panel of your Ford Escape Mk2 (year 2008-2012) even though you have recently changed the fluid and its filter, you must necessarily perform the following manual reset procedure. First, turn the key to the second position and start the ignition. Immediately afterwards, hold down the "Setup" button for a couple of seconds and then press "Reset". At this point, press the "Setup" button several times until the item relating to the residual life of the oil is displayed on the panel and keep the "Reset" button pressed until the warning light is reset.
