In this video tutorial, you will see how to reset the oil light on a Ford Escape. The first thing you must do if the oil maintenance light comes on is to change the engine oil and, if necessary, the filters as well.

Next, get inside your vehicle, insert the key, and press the brake and accelerator pedals simultaneously for 20 to 30 seconds; after this time, the reset should be complete. To check if the light is off, turn off the ignition and then turn it back on; if the light is off, you have successfully completed the reset.
