Before applying the new gasket to the intake manifold, carefully clean the gasket seat, both on the cylinder head side and on the manifold side: it is necessary to eliminate any residual dirt and encrustation that could compromise the adherence and seal of the gasket, causing of the vents to the detriment of engine performance and fuel consumption. After cleaning, apply the new gasket to the intake manifold without applying gasket putty, key the manifold onto the head and tighten the fixing pins using the torque wrench.

Fiat Ducato 2.8 JTD gearbox oil replacement

Let's see in this guide the main steps to be able to change the transmission oil of the second series Fiat Ducato, with 2.8 JTD engine. First of all we lift the car and go to locate the gear oil vent bolt, which we find near the transmission; we use a hex wrench to unscrew it, letting it drain the old oil in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we open the bonnet and remove the air intake sleeve, so as to be able to access the gearbox oil filling hole; then we fill up to the maximum level!
