Replacing the Intake Manifold Gasket

Before installing the new intake manifold gasket, it is very important to ensure that the mating surfaces, both on the manifold side and the cylinder head side, are free from dirt or deposits that could compromise the adhesion and therefore the sealing of the gasket (in the case of the intake manifold, operating temperatures do not cause deformation). Once the cleaning and inspection procedure is complete, position the new gasket, aligning it with the dowel pins, and fit the intake manifold. Then, tighten the fixing nuts in a cross pattern using a torque wrench.
