Ford Focus - Video tutorial
Model: Ford Focus
MK 2, Focus 2
- Years 2004-2011 The accelerator pedal position sensor is integrated into the pedal itself and in order to replace it, the entire pedal must be changed: the replacement is very simple to carry out since the pedal is fixed to the base of the door sill with a nut; therefore unscrew the fastening nut of the accelerator pedal, remove it from its seat and disconnect the socket connected to the sensor; then proceed backwards for installation. In many cases it is also sufficient to clean the sensor with contact spray as the malfunction could be caused by contamination of the dirt on the mat.
