To replace the alternator on a Ford Fiesta, open the bonnet to access the components in the engine bay. First, disconnect the car battery by removing it completely from its housing. Next, unscrew the bolts securing the right front headlamp, disconnect its connector at the back, and remove it entirely. Once the headlamp is out, unscrew the bolts holding the alternator, disconnect the cables, and move the serpentine belt so that the alternator can be removed and replaced.
