In this video, you can see where the starter motor is located in a Ford Focus and how to proceed if you need to replace it. As shown, it is situated at the lower part of the engine and is accessible after raising the front of the vehicle, taking the necessary safety precautions.

To remove it, first disconnect the negative battery terminal, then go under the compartment and unscrew both the bolts of the two terminals and the mounting bolts of the device.

Once this is done, you can separate it from the engine and fit the replacement if necessary.
