How to Open a Ford Key and Clean the Oxidised Circuit

To open your Ford key, use a spatula: start from the side with the blue oval logo. Below, you will find the physical emergency key; remove that as well. Using the same spatula, remove the back part where the battery and the circuit board are located. Carefully use tweezers to gently take out the circuit board from its housing. Pour some simple alcohol on the circuit. Remove the excess and pour it on the back as well. With a very soft brush, clean all the circuits, then dab and dry with a warm hairdryer. You can now place the circuit back in its position. Reassemble the remote following the reverse sequence. Operation completed.
