How to Change the Battery on a Ford Fiesta MK5

See how to change the battery on a Ford Fiesta MK5. Open the bonnet; the battery is located on the right side of the engine. Start by unscrewing the battery support bar with a 10 mm socket. Now disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, ensuring the cable is well away from the battery itself. Move on to the positive terminal. Now you can take the battery handle and remove it. Use fine sandpaper to clean the inside of the battery terminals to remove any oxidation. On the new battery, apply some copper grease to the terminals to improve contact with the cables. Insert the new battery, reconnect the positive terminal first, then the negative. Refit the battery support bar. Job done.
