Replacing the Window Regulator Mechanism

Model: Ford Mondeo / Fusion MK 1 - Years 1993-2000

To replace the window regulator mechanism, you first need to remove the door panel. Remove the cap inside the trim around the internal opening handle, unscrew the screw underneath, and take off both the window switch and the trim itself. Remove the other protective caps over the screws and unscrew them. Detach the plastic trim triangle behind the external rear-view mirror and the support for the mirror adjustment mechanism. Remove the handle grip trim and unscrew the underlying screws to complete the door panel removal, then peel off the soundproofing material. At this point, you can access the window regulator mechanism and disassemble it, starting by loosening the clips holding the glass to remove it. Continue with the fastening pins of the mechanism and extract it complete with the motor, then proceed in reverse with the installation of the new one: if the motor power connector is different, replace it with the one included in the kit.
