To replace the door lock on a Ford Transit, completely remove the door panel to access the internal fastening elements of the lock. Once the cable and the pin securing the lock are removed, you can pull the lock cylinder out from its housing by pulling it from the outside of the door.

This will allow you to insert the new lock cylinder, ensuring everything functions correctly; at this point, you can reinstall the inner door panel.
