How do you reset the Ford Edge electronic handbrake?

To be able to reset the Ford Edge electronic handbrake, you need to go and hold down the accelerator pedal and pull the handbrake button upwards, while the ignition is off. Then you can press the button to start the engine and wait a few seconds; when about ten seconds have passed, you will need to release both the button and the brake pedal, thus pressing the brake pedal. In this way it will be possible to notice that the electric handbrake will have been reset and it will be possible to engage and disengage it again using the appropriate button.
