To replace the headlight switch on a Ford Focus, you need to loosen the screws securing the plastic panel under the steering column so that it can be completely removed. After removing this panel, pry off the panel above the headlight switch; this will expose the screws securing it, allowing you to loosen them and pull the switch from its housing, disconnecting the connectors at the back. You can then insert the new switch and reassemble the previously removed parts.
