How to Change the Oil on a Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost MK3

Start the engine for five minutes and then pour in an oil change additive to facilitate draining the system. After pouring in the additive, run the engine for 10 minutes to thoroughly clean the system. Lift the front of the car. Unlock the oil sump bolt with a 13 mm spanner and place a container underneath to catch the used oil - which will then be disposed of at an authorised centre - and replace the bolt with a new one. Now, let's focus on the filter, which is located at the top of the engine but is in a hard-to-reach spot. You need to watch the video to understand where it is, and it is not easy to remove. Then take the new filter, lubricate the seal, and reinstall it. Lower the front of the vehicle and refill the oil into the engine. Start with 90% of the required oil, a SAE 5W20. The service fill is 4.52 litres for a Ford Focus Ecoboost 1.0 with 74 kW. Close the cap, start the engine to fill the filter. Remove the dipstick, clean it, reinsert it, and pull it out again to check the level. The optimal level is near the maximum but must never exceed it.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?
