One of the causes of a malfunctioning vehicle key is a flat remote battery. Replacing the battery in a Ford Ecosport remote is a very simple and quick operation.

A CW2032 battery will be used for the replacement. The first step is to insert a flathead screwdriver into the small slot to open the remote.

The second step is to remove the old battery. The third step is to insert a new battery and close the remote.

You can then go to the vehicle to test the key's functionality.
