How to replace the battery in the key of a Ford Mustang

Model: Ford Mustang S550, MK 6 - Years 2015-2023

Find the key release on your keychain and remove the internal metal key. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry and gently open the key cover. Remove the old depleted battery, being careful not to damage the internal contacts. Insert the new battery, making sure it is the correct type (usually CR2025 or CR2032 3V) and that it is positioned correctly, with the positive side facing upwards. Close the key cover, making sure it is securely sealed. After replacing the battery, test the remote to ensure it is functioning properly. If the key does not work, you may need to reprogram the remote or check if the battery was inserted correctly.
