To remove the battery under the seat of a Ford Transit, first park the vehicle on a flat surface, engage the handbrake, and turn off the engine. Move the seat forward or backward to access the battery compartment, usually under the passenger seat. Remove any protective panels or covers. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal first, then the positive (+) terminal using an appropriate spanner. Unscrew the bracket or support that secures the battery to the chassis and carefully lift the battery out. For reassembly, place the new battery in the same housing, secure the bracket, connect the positive terminal first and then the negative, and refit the protective panels.
