The steps to replace the gear knob are simple and quick to perform independently, especially when it comes to a 2005 Honda Accord. To remove the gear knob, we will need to unscrew the two side screws that hold the knob in place. After removing the screws, the knob can be pulled out. To install the new gear knob, we will need to insert the knob and tighten the two side screws. All that's left to do is to turn on the dashboard and shift through all the gears starting from reverse to fifth gear, this way the vehicle will memorize the replacement and we will have the chance to test the gear shift.
