Replacing the Engine Air and Cabin Filter

Model: Honda Civic MK 6 - Years 1995-2001

Obtain new filters identical to the originals. Open the bonnet and locate the filter container behind the engine under the windscreen. Remove the filter cover by unscrewing the retaining screws with a ratchet spanner. Carefully slide the exhausted filter out of the airbox and insert a new filter, positioning it correctly. Before inserting the new filter, clean the inside to remove any dust deposits. Close the airbox securely, ensuring the cover fits perfectly. Next, detach the glove compartment door on the passenger side. After removing the filter cover by pulling it outward, carefully remove the filter to avoid dispersing dust inside the cabin, then carefully place the new filter back in its housing and close the cover.
