How to change the seat recline knob of a car

In this video we see how to change the knob that is used to recline the seat. In this specific case, the car in the video is a Honda Mercury, but this component is essentially identical on all cars: we lever with a pointed object to remove the cap, which hides the fixing clip, then with the same lever we also remove the knob. Next to it we find a screw with a cross head to remove; this if we need to reach the seat belt attachments. But if we are only interested in changing the knob, this is not necessary. Each model has its specific knob, and we can easily find it on any e-commerce site: they are generally sold in pairs and the pair costs between eight and twelve euros. For installation, simply put the knob and cover back together and push forcefully until fully engaged.
