Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Model: Honda CR-V MK 2 - Years 2002-2007

Raise the vehicle on suitable car ramps to access the oil sump. Open the front bonnet and ensure it is securely supported. Unscrew the oil filler cap (this helps with draining), place an appropriate capacity container under the oil sump, and unscrew the drain plug located at the rear. Using a metal strap wrench, unscrew and remove the oil filter located beside the engine block; then fit the new filter after coating the gasket with oil (it is sufficient to tighten it by hand).
Tighten the oil sump plug and fill the engine with new oil according to the SAE specifications and the quantities indicated in the owner's manual.
