Need to remove the starter motor from the car? Here’s how to do it on a Honda Civic. Before removing the part from the engine bay, disconnect the battery terminals.

Use pliers to disconnect the starter motor power terminals, then use a socket to unscrew the securing bolts of the starter motor and remove it from the engine bay. Fit the new starter motor by connecting the power cables and the associated securing bolts.

Start the vehicle and perform a test to ensure the starter motor is functioning correctly.
