Front Suspension Inspection

To perform this maintenance, you need specific clamps to compress the shock absorber spring. Lift the vehicle using a hydraulic lift and remove the wheel; then detach the bolts securing the shock absorber to the hub and the bodywork. Position the shock absorber in the vice and compress the spring with the clamps; unscrew the upper support bolts and slide out the damper; loosen the clamps and remove the old spring. Slide the bellows off the damper and apply it to the new one; fit the new spring, compress it with the clamps, and secure the upper support after greasing it. Reinstall the suspension onto the vehicle.
