How to Bleed the Brakes of a Honda Civic?

To bleed the brakes, open the bonnet and remove the cap from the reservoir of the pump to ensure the fluid is at a sufficient level. Next, place a container under each brake that needs bleeding: the bleed screw is located at the rear of the drum. An assistant should pump the brake pedal while you open the bleed screw: when the fluid flow has stopped, you can release the brake pedal. This procedure should be repeated on all four brakes, noting that the front ones are disc brakes and the bleed screw is located on the caliper. Finally, top up the fluid in the appropriate reservoir.
