Part: Checks and maintenance
Operation: How do you bleed the Honda Civic brakes?

In order to bleed the brakes, you have to open the hood and remove the cap from the pump reservoir, to make sure that the fluid is at a sufficient level. Subsequently, it will be necessary to place a tray to collect the fluid under each brake that needs to be bled: the bleed screw is located in the rear part of the drum. An assistant will have to pump the brake pedal while opening the bleed screw: when the fluid has stopped flowing, the brake pedal can be released. The operation must be repeated on all four brakes, bearing in mind that the front ones are disc brakes and the bleed screw is on the caliper. At the end, it will be necessary to top up the liquid inside the special tank.

First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
