If the airbag warning light comes on inadvertently or because an airbag has deployed, to reset it, proceed as follows. Obtain two simple pieces of rigid electrical wire, stripping about one centimetre of insulation from both ends.

Under the dashboard, locate the yellow connector in the wiring harness. Remove the connector from the socket and insert the two previously prepared wires into the electrical contact holes of the connector.

Turn the ignition key to activate the instrument panel. Short-circuit the free ends of the two wires for a few seconds, then turn off the ignition by returning the key to the off position.

Reconnect the connector in its place. The light should now be reset and remain off.
