Honda Civic - Video tutorial

Model: Honda Civic MK 8 - Years 2006-2012
Part: Engine oil
Operation: Procedure for changing the engine oil

The following tutorial explains the method for changing the engine oil of a Honda Civic. The car is raised and secured on a jack. Newspapers and a collection tray are placed on the floor under the car at the oil pan. Using a ratchet wrench with an extension, unscrew the lower cap of the cup. The old oil will begin to drain; in the meantime, if needed, you can change the filter. A small amount of new oil can be added to the tank while the old oil is flowing out: it will clean the residues. Now close the lower cap of the sump and proceed to pour in the new oil (about 4 liters). Check the level with the dipstick and top up if necessary. Finally, close the top cap.
