This useful video guide shows how to reset the maintenance light, which indicates the remaining life of the engine oil, on an eighth-generation Honda Civic. This procedure is straightforward and can be done independently after changing the engine oil. First, turn on the ignition without starting the engine, then press the "RESET" button located on the left side of the dashboard until the oil life message appears.

Once displayed, press and hold the "RESET" button until the message starts flashing, then release the button and press it again until the reset is complete.
