How to change the belts of the Hyundai Atos DIY

On the Hyundai Atos, the replacement of the drive belts follows the order shown in the video. With the engine off and the vehicle secured, check the belt's path on the pulleys and loosen the tension by adjusting the tensioner or the adjustment screw of the accessory (alternator/steering pump/air conditioning) highlighted in the images. Once the tension is released, the belt can be removed from the grooves; compare it with the replacement part (number of grooves and length) and pre-position the new belt following the correct visible path. Restore the tension using the same screw/adjustment, ensuring that the belt sits in all the grooves without twists. At the end of the installation, manually rotate the accessory for a check and briefly start the engine to confirm alignment and the absence of noise; finally, perform a final tension check after a few minutes of operation.
