How to Replace the Key Fob Battery on a Hyundai Sonata

To replace the battery in the key fob on a Hyundai Sonata, press the lever on the back of the fob and extract the mechanical key. In the gap created, insert a small screwdriver or a plastic lever and gently pry apart the two halves of the shell. Open the fob and locate the button cell battery inside. Remove it carefully noting the orientation and insert the new battery of the same type, usually CR2032, respecting the indicated polarity. Close the shell by pressing firmly along the edges until it clicks shut, then reinsert the mechanical key into its slot until it locks.
