How to Change the Manual Gearbox Oil in a Hyundai IX35 6-Speed

The oil used in this video is a 75W85 GL4; never use a GL5 as it can damage the synchronisers. Warm up the engine, loosen the filler cap located at the top front; if it doesn't unscrew, do not proceed! If it does unscrew, also unscrew the drain plug at the bottom and let the oil drain into a container. Refit a new drain plug to 10/50 Nm. Fill through the filler hole with a pump or a funnel and flexible hose; add oil until it overflows from the level hole: this indicates that the correct level has been reached. Refit the filler cap and check for leaks. Take a short test drive. Of course, dispose of the used oil at an authorised centre properly.
