Removing Rear Brake Discs

Model: Hyundai Sonata - Years 2004-2014

Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift or suitable axle stands; remove the rear wheel and the brake caliper from its support. Use one of the holes in the brake caliper support to insert a pin that will act as a puller for the disc: apply pressure at several points on the disc until it detaches from the brake shoes. Do not overtighten the pin to avoid damaging the caliper support: while holding tension on the disc, you may tap around the edges of the disc with a hammer to aid in its removal.
