Installation of Rear Shock Absorbers

Model: Hyundai Santa Fe MK 1 - Years 2000-2006

Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift; open the front bonnet and locate the cap on the plastic cover of the wheel arch, beneath which is the nut securing the shock absorber stem; proceed to remove this nut while holding the stem using a pair of locking pliers. At this point, place a jack under the rear suspension arm to complete the removal of the shock absorber; then fit the new shock absorber with the rubber bump stop and the plastic cover, and reverse the process for installation.
