Replacement of Worn Rear Shock Absorbers

Model: Hyundai Santa Fe MK 1 - Years 2000-2006

For this operation, you will only need an 18mm socket wrench. Remove the wheel and unscrew the nut that secures one end of the shock absorber to the vehicle's chassis. Before doing this, securely brace the entire suspension arm assembly to prevent it from falling during the operation. Safely place the vehicle on axle stands and remove the retaining pins from the suspension arm protection. Unscrew the bolt that holds the shock absorber to the chassis and then the one on the arm using an 18mm ratchet wrench, then remove the worn suspension. Secure the new shock absorber to the base and then to the chassis. Conduct a road test to verify proper operation.
