Replacing Front Brake Pads

Model: Hyundai Santa Fe MK 1 - Years 2000-2006

Lifting the vehicle for the replacement of the brake pads will make the operation much simpler and more comfortable to perform; once lifted, remove the front wheel and the fastening pins of the caliper to extract it; then remove the old worn pads and use a C-clamp or a wind-back tool to retract the pistons (it is not necessary to open the bleed screw); apply the new sliding shims which are always included in the brake pads packaging, insert the new pads, and reattach the caliper. Repeat the same operation on the other wheel, pump the brake pedal until it offers the correct resistance, and restore the level in the brake fluid reservoir.
