How to Replace the Fuel Filter on a Hyundai iX35

This guide shows how to replace the fuel filter on a Hyundai iX35. The first step is to disconnect the battery, the MAF sensor, the engine air filter box, the air hose, and the battery. Remove the fan duct by releasing the two plastic clips. Take out the battery housing and the ECU. At this point, you can disconnect the electrical connectors of the fuel filter and the two fuel lines. Remove the fuel filter mounting bolts and take out the assembly. Remove the two 12 mm bolts and extract the filter. Remove the sensor at the bottom of the unit and drain any fuel still in the filter. Unscrew the old cartridge and install the new one after lubricating the seals. Reinstall the bottom sensor and reassemble everything in position. Turn the ignition on a few times to allow the filter to fill correctly, then start the engine.
