Replacing the Cabin Air Filter

Model: Hyundai Santa Fe MK 1 - Years 2000-2006

The cabin air filter is located on the passenger side, behind the glove compartment drawer: to perform the replacement, you need to open the door, unclip the side cable that acts as a limit switch, and then press the sides of the compartment to fully tilt the door and access the air duct. The cabin air filter housing is centrally located, but to extract the filter, you need to complete the disassembly of the door by unscrewing the screws of the lower cross member. At this point, you can extract the old filter (which consists of two pieces) and install the new one.
