Replacement of the Wishbone Ball Joint

Model: Hyundai Getz MK 1 - Years 2002-2011

If the ball joint of the suspension wishbone breaks, you can either replace the entire wishbone or repair it by installing a new ball joint. This operation requires a press and a series of tube sections of the appropriate diameter. Lift the vehicle, remove the front wheel, and unscrew the fastening nut of the ball joint from the hub support. Use the appropriate puller to extract the ball joint from its seat and complete the disassembly of the wishbone. Remove the rubber boot, take off the circlip, and position the wishbone under the press to extract the old ball joint and insert the new one. Then, apply the circlip, the rubber boot, and proceed in reverse for installation back onto the vehicle.
