Infiniti EX35: How to Replace Rear Brake Pads and Discs

Position the vehicle on a level surface, raise the rear, and remove the wheel to access the brake assembly. Loosen the caliper by gently prying on the worn pads, then slide it off and support it without putting any strain on the flexible hose. If there are seized sliding pins, use a release agent to free them before reassembly. Proceed to remove the caliper bracket, as shown in the video, using a 19 mm socket and spanner; extract the pads and slide off the disc. Clean the bracket thoroughly, remove the old pad clips, restore the sliding pins, and apply brake grease only at the contact points. Install the new disc, reattach the bracket (thread-lock is applied to the bolts in the video), insert the pads, and reposition the caliper ensuring smooth movement. Check the parking brake mechanism visible behind the drum disc, then reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and pump the pedal to restore travel before using the Infiniti EX35.
