When brake discs start to wear, the contact surface with the pads tends to become uneven and a sort of lip forms along the edge; if the wear is not excessive, consider having the discs machined to eliminate the lip and make the surface perfectly flat: this operation can only be performed if the disc is not excessively worn, meaning its thickness, after machining, still falls within a compliance range.
To machine the discs, you must first remove them: this is a very simple operation. Once the vehicle is lifted and the wheels removed, unscrew the mounting pins of the brake caliper support and then the mounting pin of the disc to the hub. After machining and reinstalling the disc, you must of course fit new brake pads.
