Replacing Rear Brake Pads and Discs

To replace the brake pads, first unscrew the cap of the brake fluid reservoir. Then, using a screwdriver, rotate the pins into position to extract the clips. Remove them, and with a punch and hammer, slightly push out the two pins, then extract them with pliers. Now push back the pistons. Check the brake fluid level during this operation. Loosen and unscrew the two screws on the inner side to remove the brake caliper, ensuring you have a support to hold it. From the hole on the hub, use a screwdriver to rotate the handbrake adjuster fully so that it is completely released. Screw on a couple of wheel nuts for safety and then remove the brake disc. Clean any rust residues around the studs. Now install the replacement brake disc. Screw on the wheel nuts and check the alignment of the disc with the appropriate tool. Now rotate the handbrake adjuster back to the end. Rotate a couple of clicks back until the wheel is no longer fully locked, then make four more clicks back. Clean the inside of the brake calipers, reposition them on the disc, and re-tighten to the specified torque. Clean the remaining components before reassembling. Apply clips and the appropriate grease to the back of the pads and insert them into the brake caliper. Apply some grease to the pins, position the spring, and insert the pins. Insert the clips onto the pins. Repeat the process on the opposite side wheel. Car model: Infinity G37s Year: 2009
