If we want to try our hand at replacing the engine oil and the relative filter on the reference car, we can find the instructions to follow in this track and we can also watch the video. Proceed to open the engine compartment and unscrew the oil filler cap, raise the car and locate the sound-absorbing plastic panel which must be removed to access the oil drain cap. Place a container on the floor to collect the used oil and proceed to unscrew the drain plug, wait a few minutes for all the oil to come out and in the meantime proceed to unscrew the filter and replace it with the new one after having replaced the o-ring seal. Then screw the drain plug back into the oil. Close the sound-absorbing plastic panel. Return to the upper part of the bonnet and top up with the new lubricant, finally measure the level with the appropriate dipstick.

Let's see in this short and simple guide the instructions that will allow us to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo. First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
